Lesson: Travel Changes You

Some people are homebodies who prefer the comfort of their own homes. Others spend years footloose and fancy-free, travelling anywhere and everywhere they can. Both ways of life are great if that is what you choose. This time, though, our theme centres on the belief that travel, no matter how long or how far, changes you. Memories stick to you, and experiences mould who you are. You can go and return many times. Each time you do. However, you are a different person. No, you may not find yourself, but as J.R.R. Tolkien wrote, “Not all those who wander are lost.”

Each conversation topic is based on a theme. In order to help students acquire a basic understanding of that topic, four media articles are provided for them to read. I will never test you on the articles, but I strongly suggest you book lessons far enough in advance to give yourself enough time to properly prepare. The better prepared you are, the more benefit you will receive from our conversations.
