Lesson: The Happy Middle

Surprise, surprise, we’re going to talk about middle age. Only a handful of my male students are younger than 40. Mysteriously enough, all of my female students are 29 or younger, but they seem to be hanging around with much older men. Ha, ha, ha! I think that qualifies us all to talk about middle age even though we are not middle-aged. It’s beneficial to discuss specific topics before they happen. So, do you feel middle-aged? What the heck does that mean anyway? Personally, I don’t feel middle-aged. I feel the same way I always have, but more confident and less willing to put up with any foolishness. Don’t worry. You’ll learn all about it after you read the articles. Take care and enjoy life to the fullest. Let’s hope the second half is twice as much fun as the first was.

Each conversation topic is based on a theme. In order to help students acquire a basic understanding of that topic, four media articles are provided for them to read. I will never test you on the articles, but I strongly suggest you book lessons far enough in advance to give yourself enough time to properly prepare. The better prepared you are, the more benefit you will receive from our conversations.
