Lesson:

The End

It’s hard not to think about it, the end of the world, I mean. Well, not so much the end of the world as a whole, as the world’s end as we know it – the Western world. The writer and philosopher George Santayana said, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” Rome wasn’t built in a day, and it took hundreds of years to decline into ruin, but Roman society no longer exists. Are we ignoring history? Have we forgotten past lessons? Let’s look at history and see what happened and perhaps how it is mirrored today.
