Lesson: Super Rich

The rise of the super-rich is resulting in growing wealth inequality that threatens the stability and well-being of our societies. The concentration of wealth in the hands of a few billionaires – the uber-rich – undermines the principles of democracy and social justice. There is now a super-rich class of individuals who can often influence politics and policy-making in ways that serve their interests rather than the common good, causing the poor to become poorer. This undermines the democratic process and erodes citizens’ trust in their institutions. And people wonder what’s wrong with America.
