How many steps have you taken today? There are many reasons to take a walk. When we think about purposefully going for a walk, we often concentrate on the physical health benefits of movement. Often, we focus on attaining the magical number of 10,000 steps a day for some reason. Walking provides us with benefits other than physical, however. Did you know it has been proven that walking is good for the mind? It’s not just walking with a purpose, either, but strolling. The great intellectuals of yesteryear (a new word for you) took long daily strolls and swore that without these walks, they would not have been able to accomplish all that they did. Could that be the difference between genius and the rest of us – walking? Let’s look into the benefits of going for a walk. Put one foot in front of the other, and I’ll talk to you soon.
