It is a simple yet captivating activity that allows one to appreciate the world’s diversity. People watching is a great way to gain insight into society. When I watch people, I wonder about their lives, occupations, and relationships. I’m reminded of the rich tapestry of human experience that exists all around us. People watching can also be a source of inspiration for writers, artists, and anyone interested in understanding the human condition. For example, I got the idea for this lesson topic after attending a baseball game at Wakayama Prefectural Kiimidera Baseball Stadium. People watching reminds us that everyone has their own story. It’s also an engaging and thought-provoking pastime that provides endless opportunities to appreciate humans for just being humans.
