Lesson: Made for America

Automobiles are ubiquitous around the world. The only place where pickup trucks are prevalent on the roads is in North America. Nothing says you’re in the USA as loud as a pickup truck. Why is that? What is it about pickups that attract North American buyers? Trucks are big and bulky, and although they’re getting better, they burn a lot of gas. They have high ride heights, which makes them difficult to get into, and consequently, it’s also tricky to get out of them. They’re big, beautiful and handy. These days trucks are the ultimate in utility and luxury. More people than ever before are purchasing trucks. What the heck is going on?
