Lesson: Cryogenics
Cryogenics is the scientific study of very low temperatures and how to create them. In 2016, a little girl in Britain made headlines because her body was cryogenically frozen after she passed away from cancer. She requested her body be cryogenically frozen because she wanted a chance to live longer. Humans have always dreamed of cheating death. We have always wanted to live longer. Is cryogenics a way of doing that? For example, if we were diagnosed with an incurable disease or condition, would it be a good idea to freeze ourselves until a cure is discovered? Something to ponder.
