Lesson: Connected
Even though we live in a technologically advanced world, there are still many ‘dumb’ things around us. Most of our toasters, microwaves and light switches are not connected to the Internet of Things (IoT). Not only that but when we want to cross the street, we still have to wait for the light to change even though no cars are coming. Wouldn’t it be great if the lights detected our presence and turned colour before we arrived at the corner? How about if our garbage was connected to a central garbage collection system and we never had to bring it to the curb or collection point? If these things sound intriguing to you, read on.
