The commercialization of space is well underway. There was a time when space travel was the domain of the US and Russia. Now, multiple companies are creating satellites and launching them into space. The commercialization of space will eventually decrease the cost of accessing space. Even today, even the smallest company can quite easily and relatively economically purchase a satellite and have it launched into low earth orbit. Do governments still have a role in space?
