Lesson: The Great Resignation
The United States is now going through what has been called The Great Resignation. As vaccinations increase and the country slowly reopens, millions and millions of Americans are quitting their jobs. In April 2020, when the pandemic was in its nascent stages, I created a lesson titled ‘Life After Lockdown.’ In that lesson, students and I tried to predict what life would be like after the pandemic had ended. Well, now we know. What happens in the US occurs in Japan sometime later. Lockdowns have made Americans recognize that life can and should be different. They do not want to return to the status quo of 2019. Is this sentiment just a flash in the pan, or does it foretell what’s in store for Japan?

I will never test you on the articles, but I strongly suggest you book lessons far enough in advance to give yourself enough time to properly prepare. The better prepared you are, the more benefit you will receive from our conversations.
