Lesson: Climate Change & The Grid

If you’ve been on Earth during the last few years, you may have noticed the climate, and weather, in general, is changing. We have more unusual extreme weather events. Summers are hotter, hay fever season begins a month earlier, and now winters may be prone to abnormally frigid weather. So far, we have been able to deal with extreme weather events, but as the recent deep freeze in Texas proves, there may come a time when our power grids can no longer cope with the excess demand. That’s what we’ll discuss in this lesson: climate change and the power grid.
