Lesson: Biophilic Design

Millennials have discovered the joy houseplants can bring to your life. I grew up in a house with a mother who had potted plants in every corner of every room downstairs. There were plants in both the living and dining rooms. Even the kitchen had plants. These days, millennials have plants, too – a lot of plants. Plants help to bring calm to a place, clean the air and give you a direct connection to nature. This may be the most important aspect – the connection to nature. Humans have a natural attraction to nature; that’s what biophilic means. The articles I’ve chosen for this topic discuss how children, health and even our productivity may be helped and enhanced by plants. Get your green thumbs in gear.
