Upheaval

Upheaval means great change, not great as in wonderful, but great as in a large amount of something. Disasters cause upheaval in your life.

Word of the Day: Upheaval

Think about the word for a second.

Upheaval means great change, not great as in wonderful, but great as in significant.

Earthquakes or other natural or even human-made disasters, such as wars, cause a lot of upheaval in people’s lives.

Houses are damaged, families have to move, and kids change schools.

These days, there is a lot of upheaval in the world.

Britain is getting out of the European Union, millions and millions of refugees are looking for a place to live in peace, and then we have America divided.

Upheaval.

Think about the world for a second.
