Word of the Day: Throne
The cliché for today is a man’s home is his castle, and since I’m mentioning castles, I should also mention thrones.
A throne is a beautiful chair where a king, emperor, etc., sits, but you also have one in your home.
It’s more commonly known as the toilet in your home.
Yes, this is slang and humorous. The next time your husband, boyfriend or father uses the toilet, and someone asks where he is, you say he is on the throne.
You see, a man may not always be king of his castle, i.e. home, but he always has a high place to sit (even if he has to share).
