Word of the Day: Ream
Does your office use a lot of paper?
If you are an office worker in Japan, the answer is a definite yes.
How much paper does it use every day?
Week?
Month?
Year?
How do we put that into words?
Well, one word we can use is ream.
When you open one of those paper packages of fresh, new paper for the printer, that is a ream.
A ream is a way to count paper used in your office.
A ream is a package of 500 sheets of paper like the kind you use in an office copier.
Therefore, if you use lots of paper, you can say that you use reams of paper.
Have a great day!
