Word of the Day: Monotony

When you do the same thing every day, day after day, week after week, month and month, it is called monotony: the humdrum of daily life.

When everything is the same and boring, that is monotony.

Don’t get me wrong; sometimes, monotony is a good thing because it can help us accomplish some tasks that need to be done.

But too much of anything can be an awful thing.

When we have too much monotony, we have to spice things up a bit and get away from it all for at least a short time.
