Word of the Day: Hunch
I’m going to introduce a word related to posture today on the way that we usually sit in front of a computer.
Most people these days spend hours and hours and hours every day sitting in front of a computer, and this affects our body posture.
Many of us are hunched over when we sit in front of our computers.
To hunch means that our backs are not straight, but our bodies are bent forward, and our shoulders become rounded.
I have read that this is not good for us because, over time, it will result in neck strain, back pain, sore shoulders and perhaps even eye strain.
We should try not to hunch when working or playing on a computer.
We should try to sit with our backs straight and not hunch.
I don’t know about you, but I will find that very challenging.
Then again, it’s always hard to break bad habits.
