Word of the Day: Booze

Booze is a slang word for alcohol.

You can give it a fancy name and an attractive colour and put it in a beautiful bottle, but at the end of the day, it’s still booze, no matter how much it costs.

Did you know the word alcohol was initially borrowed from classical Arabic ‘al-kuḥul’?

English is great like that.

When we speak English, we speak a combined version of every language in the world.
