Word of the Day: Allude
The word that I will cover today is allude.
It is commonly used with the preposition to as in allude to (something).
It means to refer to or hint at something indirectly.
If a girl makes a lovely bento for her boyfriend, she is not saying ‘I love you’ directly, but she is alluding to it.
If you don’t get a nice bento…well, I have no comment on that.
