Expression: United we stand, divided we fall
United we stand, divided we fall is a common motto you may have heard.
It means that as long as people work together, they can overcome any adversity.
People working together are stronger than if they work individually.
A perfect example of putting this expression into practice is how the Japanese recover from natural disasters.
When a natural disaster occurs, the Japanese unite as a community and country to help each other recover.
Everyone working together can recover much faster than each person working alone.
We can all learn something from how the Japanese face adversity – united we stand, divided we fall.
