Turn-off

A turn-off is something that makes you uninterested in something or someone. A turn-off for you may not be one for someone else.
If you feel disgusted, it’s because this picture is a turn-off.

Word of the Day: Turn-off

A turn-off is something that makes you uninterested in something or someone.

They say a good picture is worth a thousand words, so I included this picture to explain what today’s word means.

Rotten food could be a real turn-off for some people.

Once they see it, they are not in the mood to eat for a while.

For me, a noisy restaurant is a big turn-off.

I enjoy eating with some beautiful background music, but not to the level where I cannot have a conversation without raising my voice.

Regarding people, each of us has something that is a real turn-off for us.

Remember the sitcom Friends?

Chandler had a girlfriend named Janice, right?

Remember her laugh?

That was a real turn-off for many people, too.

I mean, OH…MY…GOD!

If you’re unfamiliar with her laugh, you should check it out. Click here.
