Phrase: Turn a corner
Ladies and gentlemen, with the chance of seeming premature, I think it may be possible to say that we have turned a corner, at least in this first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It should be safe to say we have passed the critical point now, and things are on the upswing.
Yes, things have begun to improve.
It’s been almost a week since Wakayama saw the last person test positive for the coronavirus.
Also, the daily numbers of positive test results in Tokyo and the nation overall are dropping.
I’m very, very thankful that we, here in Japan, did not experience the exponential spread of the virus as they did overseas.
The grey skies are clearing up.

That’s what happens when you turn a corner; you reach and pass by the worst of the situation, and things gradually begin to improve.
Positive thinkers know this to be true for all things in life.
They know that no matter how bad things become, they will eventually improve.
Negative thinkers believe success is out of reach.
The great thing about it, though, is that the negative thinkers are always proven wrong.
I used to be a negative thinker, but I have since turned a corner in my approach to life and become a positive thinker.
As long as you have the stamina and determination to fight through adversity long enough, you will eventually turn a corner.
Bad luck will not rain on your parade forever.
After every storm, the sun does shine again.
It is inevitable.
We are winning the first round against COVID-19, and we will eventually conquer it.
We have turned a corner.
