Word of the Day: Stickler
People who stick to the rules or believe that things must be done in a certain way every time are sticklers.
Being one is similar in many ways to being a perfectionist.
Depending on your personality, you can be a stickler for different things.
I am very particular about cleanliness.
I prefer things to be neat and tidy, so I always keep my desk orderly and my house as clean as a whistle.
I’m very serious about everything being in order.
How about you?
Are you a stickler about anything?
How about your hair?
Perhaps you never go out without making sure every hair is neatly in place.
Maybe you’re a perfectionist when it comes to your kitchen and always make sure every dish, cup or spoon is cleanly washed, dried and put away before you go to bed at night.
Or are you one of those driving sticklers who never goes even one kilometre above the speed limit?
No matter what it is, I believe that everyone is a stickler about at least one thing or another.
