English Phrase: Stay the course
For the next five days, I’d like to introduce you to idioms that should help motivate you to continue studying English.
We’ll start today with stay the course.
We can say that staying the course is very similar to the Japanese がんばって because it means to continue to do something until you have finished it, even if it is challenging.
Of course, it is easy for all of us to continue to do something that is easy or that we enjoy.
The hard part, the part where we say がんばって or stay the course, is when we feel like giving up.
Don’t give up! がんばって! If you are losing your motivation for studying English, stay the course because people who work hard reap the rewards in the end.
