WotD: Square
Did you know that square can also be used as a verb?
Most English language students understand that a square is a figure with four sides of equal length and four 90°angles.
When square is used as a verb, it can mean to make things right after a mistake or to convince someone to agree with you.
The little happy-faced guy in today’s picture has gotten into trouble with his significant other.
The flowers and chocolates are an attempt to square everything with them.
Will it work?
If he was your love interest, would flowers and chocolates help to square things with you?
Of course, it depends on what he did, I know, but he seems like an honest enough fellow.
Next time things are not perfect, you can try to square them yourself, but if the problem is huge, you may have to use a few chocolates to square things up.
