Expression: Separate the men from the boys

Well, the new company employees who started working in April have been on the job for a little over four months now.

Of course, these new hires have been training with the company and learning the ropes during the summer.

We are almost two weeks into September, and it is time to separate the men from the boys.

That means separating the competent and knowledgeable people from the incompetent and unknowledgeable.

Of course, we hope that nobody loses their job during this process.

After the companies separate the men from the boys, a few people will undergo the training process again or reconsider their career choice.
