WotD: Self-starter
Happy New Year, and welcome to 2023!
The New Year allows you to do things differently and take control of your life.
Let’s begin the year with a positive word of the day – self-starter.
If there is something you are not satisfied with, then now is the time to begin to put into place the plan to change it.
Self-starters are people who can motivate themselves, take the initiative, and work without direction. They are independent, ambitious, and go-getters.
2022 is so last year’s fashion.
2023 is a new year and time for a new you if you want it to be.
Being a self-starter means being willing to take responsibility for your actions and decisions.
Self-starters are not the people who wait for things to happen to them – they go out there and make things happen.
Want to lose weight?
Eat less and move more.
It’s easily said but takes more time to do.
Want to get promoted at work?
How about pursuing further education in your own time to show you have the initiative to attain the required skills?
Self-starters are willing to put in the extra effort.
They do this without being told to do it.
That’s what makes them self-starters.
The emphasis should be on the ‘self’ part.
The world is progressively becoming a more competitive place in which to live and work.
Your university education is only going to get you so far.
Go-getters go out and get stuff.
Self-starters decide for themselves what they want to get then they get it.
What do you foresee in 2023?
