Sedentary

An office full of people in cubicles who are working in sedentary jobs.
It’s the lifestyle of working in front of computers and not getting much physical activity that is the cause of our obesity epidemic.

Word of the Day: Sedentary

One of society’s most significant problems today is that we are all sedentary.

If you live a sedentary lifestyle, you spend most of your time sitting in one place with very little physical activity or exertion.

People were designed to move, but we no longer move as much as we should.

We catch a ride to work instead of walking, take the elevator upstairs to the office instead of walking up the stairs, and sit in front of a computer most of the day instead of taking a break so we can get up and stretch our legs.

That’s right; most of us live sedentary lifestyles with little physical activity or exertion.

We’re all becoming couch potatoes.
