Phrase: Past your prime

You never expect it to happen, but one day you will wake up and realize that what they say is true.

That’s the day you have to admit you’re past your prime.

That’s why they say youth is wasted on the young.

Of course, we older guys try to tell the young bucks to make the most of it and live life while they can.

When you are past your prime, you can no longer be as active as you once were, and your health has started to fail.

This is why you have to live life while you are young.

Do what you want to do, and do it now.

Listen to your loved ones and those around you who advise and tell you what you should do, and take it with a grain of salt.

Always remember wisdom is based on a life that has been lived, not a life that is being lived.

I’ve come to realize that when people tell me, “You can’t,” they are attempting to justify the failures and regrets of their lives by placing their self-imposed limitations on mine.

They are past their prime, and they know it.

Are you familiar with the expression misery loves company?

I am an avid reader and have tried to live my life according to my desire.

I have collected inspirational quotes as I journey through life.

I’ll leave you with one of my favourites:

“It is not death that a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live.”

Marcus Aurelius

If you live your life, I mean truly live it, you will have no regrets once you are past your prime – only memories that make you smile.
