One man’s trash is another man’s treasure

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure means what's useless or garbage to one person is useful or valuable to someone else.
Perhaps it’s just trash to you, but to someone who picks it up and brings it to a recycling depot, it’s 5 cents.

Proverb: One man’s trash is another man’s treasure

What one person thinks is useless, another person may feel helpful. This is the core meaning of today’s proverb: one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

It’s the basic idea behind recycling, regifting and repurposing.

Quite often, what is useless or garbage to one person is useful or valuable to someone else.

So remember, the next time you throw something away, think twice. One (wo) man’s trash is another (wo) man’s treasure.
