It’s good to see that we are in agreement.

Idiom: On the same page

We’re going to begin the weekend with a very common idiom.

Whenever people agree with each other, they can say they are on the same page.

If we lived in a perfect world, people would agree about all things all the time.

However, you and I both know that’s not the reality we live in.

Quite often, people are so confused about what’s going on that the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.

It is a rare moment, indeed, when everyone is on the same page.

This is the main reason I dislike going out with a group of people.

When a group of people try to decide where to go or what to do, it grates on my nerves like fingernails on a chalkboard.

There is always someone who doesn’t like spicy food, vegetarian or who had Chinese the night before.

It’s challenging to bring everyone to a consensus and get them all on the same page.

In any group, there are always at least three kinds of people: the inflexibles, the I-don’t-cares, and the whatever-you-decide-is-fine with-mes.

I’ve always wondered if they do it on purpose or if they are unaware of the trouble they cause.

It’s very trying to negotiate an agreement in a group when someone is inflexible and won’t change their mind.

There’s nothing as frustrating as when you’re attempting to get everyone on the same page concerning where to eat supper, and someone says I don’t care.

That’s because they’re not on any page at all.
