Misery loves company

The proverb misery loves company may be true or it may not be true. Personally, I prefer to have no misery at all.
If misery loves company, why are many depressed people lonely?

Proverb: Misery loves company

Misery loves company.

It may be true; unhappy people may want other people to be miserable, too.

Perhaps this is why unhappy people always tell younger people to settle down, get married, buy a home, and have lots of kids.

Who knows?

Misery loves company is a proverb that means unhappy people want other people to be miserable, too.

Maybe in English, we have the proverb misery loves company because when people are unhappy, they want to be around other people who are also unhappy.

Negativity is contagious.

On the flip side, positivity is also infectious.

If one person is miserable, the people around them tend to catch the infection and become unhappy, too.

Positivity can overcome misery, and because it is infectious, everyone will climb out of their misery.

When everybody feels the same, we feel more comfortable.

This may be why when someone has a bad day at work, they come home unhappy and fight with their family at home.

The proverb misery loves company may be true, or it may not be true.

I prefer to maintain a positive attitude and make the best of a bad situation.

Have no misery at all.
