Phrase: Matter of time
You may look back on 2022 and think it was a bad year for you.
Now that I think about it, the past three years have been pretty crappy for most of us, but you know what?
Things will improve.
It’s only a matter of time.
It’s one of the rules of life – change is inevitable.
If things are going poorly, it’s just a matter of time before they do an about-face, and everything is rainbows and unicorns again.
When we say something is just a matter of time, we mean that it is sure to happen at some time in the future.
Unfortunately, it works both ways.
If every cloud has a silver lining, it’s only natural that after a sunny day, there’s rain.
There is balance in the universe, and if you feel your life is off-kilter, wait, it’s only a matter of time before balance will be restored to your universe.
Now that I’ve said that, you should also know that I have absolutely no idea what the heck I’m talking about.
At the beginning of the pandemic, I thought it was only a matter of time before I caught COVID, but here I am, three years and five shots (that’s vaccinations, not whiskies) later, still COVID-free.
Between you, me and the fence post, I’ve consumed more than five shots of whiskey over the past three years, but we won’t discuss that here.
Anyways, yes, we’ve all struggled for a few years, but the good times will be here again.
It’s just a matter of time.
