English Idiom: Make a quick buck
I hope everyone will agree with me when I say it takes time to earn money, but we spend it very quickly.
If you agree with me on those two things, then understanding the idiom to make a quick buck will be as easy as ABC.
Making a quick buck means to earn money quickly and often dishonestly.
Often, this is what hackers and scammers try to do.
Ransomware is a way for hackers to get people to pay them money.
The hackers can make a quick buck with little effort.
It is the same with hackers who want to steal your information, such as credit card numbers or addresses.
Once they get that information, they create a list and sell it to someone else to make a quick buck.
Be sure to protect yourself online, and don’t give anyone the opportunity to make a quick buck from your information.
Also, be aware that if someone ever offers you the opportunity to get rich quick, don’t take it.
Anything that offers you the chance to make some easy money is most likely too good to be true.
