Phrase: Lose the plot
Is it just me, or do you also think politicians around the world have lost the plot?
Yes, there is the argument that they can’t lose what they never had.
I’ll give you that.
However, look what’s going on.
Every time someone asks the Japanese prime minister a question, he begins his answer with “80% of Japanese over 65 years old have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.”
I yell at him, ‘DUDE, what about the working people? You know, the ones who actually WORK and PAY taxes?”
When you lose the plot, you lose your ability to understand or cope with what is happening.
Then there is former governor Andrew Cuomo of New York State.
You know the guy, I mean.
He’s the one who hugs and kisses everyone – including “powerful people.”
Initially, he had done such a good job when New York City was experiencing an explosive COVID infection rate.
Then he lost the plot.
How about the governor of Texas, Greg Abbott?
This guy hasn’t just lost the plot; he can’t even find the city block where the library is located.
He made an executive order prohibiting anyone, including public health, county and school officials, from requiring masks.
He did this during a pandemic!
Masks have been proven to save lives, reduce infections and significantly reduce the spread of the coronavirus. Freedom is one thing.
The right to kill anyone around you is something completely different.
He has since tested positive, by the way.
Coronavirus has hit us hard, the lack of leadership has hit us harder, and the plethora of wanna-be leaders who have lost the plot is killing us.
