Idiom: Lend a helping hand
Now and then, it is nice to lend a helping hand to a friend or stranger in need.
It’s neighbourly and good community spirit to help someone when help is needed.
We should all be willing to lend a helping hand.
No, we don’t necessarily have to use our hands, but in most cases, we will.
How is a cute little doggy supposed to get a drink of water on a hot day if we don’t cup our hands to hold the water for her?
The next time you notice that your elderly neighbour needs their steps shovelled or grass cut, why not lend a helping hand and do it for them?
Just a little bit of help can go a long way.
