Phrase: In the zone
Some things in life require you to be in the zone because they require all your attention.
If you are taking a nice, leisurely walk along the beach, you can let your mind wander.
However, if you are a gymnast trying to achieve your personal best score in a competition, you must focus your attention and energy on the task at hand.
These days, everyone is talking about increasing productivity.
One of the best ways to improve your productivity is to put yourself in a situation where you can work undisturbed.
When you can fully concentrate on what you are doing, time flies by, and you are completing a lot of work, you know you are in the zone.
Some workplaces offer so-called quiet rooms or libraries where workers can go to work when they do not want to be disturbed.
The quiet space helps them focus their energy, get in the zone, and get the job done.
The feeling of being in the zone is fantastic.
I do my best to get in the zone every day.
I can’t always do it, but the hours fly by when I can, and the tasks get done.
I can finish a week’s worth of work in a few hours.
I love being in the zone.
