In a rut

Sometimes you feel as if each day is just like the one before. Nothing new or exciting ever seems to happen. You are stuck in a rut.
A rut is a groove left in the soil by wheels. If the rut is deep enough, it’s tough to get out of it.

Idiom: (Stuck) in a rut

Many of us feel we are stuck in a rut.

When you are in a rut, each day feels just like the one before, and nothing new or exciting ever seems to happen.

When you are in a rut, the best thing to do is to turn over a new leaf.

The beginning of the New Year is also a time for new beginnings.

I know it doesn’t make sense to begin new things in the depth of winter, but things are the way they are.

January 1 is a great time to begin something new in the West.

Trying new things makes life exciting.

Even changing our brand of ketchup or watching a different news program could help spark change and get us out of a rut.

Don’t begin 2018 in a rut.

It’s time to turn over a new leaf and spark a change in your life.
