Phrase: Have your hands full
It’s Saturday!
I’m sure you have been looking forward to this day since last Monday.
There’s something about weekends that tends to take a weight off our shoulders even if we still have our hands full.
I’ve noticed recently that there is always something to do.
It’s bad enough that I work long hours, but lately, I always have my hands full.
You have as much work as you can handle when you have your hands full.
When I was a young boy, I couldn’t wait to be a grown-up so I could be my own boss and do what I wanted to do when I wanted to do it.
Then I grew up and got married.
Oh boy, let me tell you, all my plans for doing what I wanted when I wanted went up in smoke the moment I said, “I do,” and she thought, ‘Only if I want you to, buster.”
Before my wife went to work on Friday, she told me I had to clean the floor!
I’m like her personal slave.
Do you know how hard it is to bend down and push the start button on a Roomba?
I could hurt myself.
I have my hands full daily with teaching classes, writing posts, advertising, creating new lessons, etc.
The last thing I need is to strain my back operating a Roomba!
I’m sure you feel the same way as I do.
When people see you have your hands full, they can’t resist adding one more thing to the pile.
