Word of the Day: Doodad
Doodad is a super helpful word; believe me, as you grow older, it will become more and more valuable.
You can use this word for anything that you have forgotten the name for or that you don’t know the name for.
If you look at the picture, you can see that the lady has her computer connected to some doodad on the table.
What is that?
Oh yeah, a smartphone.
She seems to have some other doodad on her head, and there is another one on the Chesterfield beside her.
You see, it can be anything.
When you are learning English, you will often come across things you don’t know the name for.
In that instance, it becomes a doodad until you learn (and remember) its proper name.
