WotD: Deep pockets

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve put my hand in my pocket only to take it out empty.

I’ve often wondered what it would be like to have deep pockets.

No, I don’t mean bigger pockets because more oversized pockets can be just as empty as normal-sized ones.

When someone has deep pockets, they have a lot of money.

In other words, it means that they have abundant financial resources.

I mean deep pockets or, as dictionaries define it, having ‘abundant financial resources.’

Let’s dream for a while here.

Tell me, what would you do if you had deep pockets?

Imagine you could access as much money, of course, within reason, as you needed whenever you needed it.

You can go anywhere and do anything at any time, whenever you feel like it.

What would you do?

They say money can’t buy you love, but it can make it easier for someone to love you. Ha, ha!

I should say most of our troubles in life are related to money or the lack of money.

Yes, as I wrote earlier this week, we all have our own cross to bear, and sometimes money can be as much a burden as it is a blessing.

For me, anyway, it’s a burden I like to try carrying for a while.

If I had deep pockets, I’d take care of all the little odds and ends my wife and I have planned around our home.

There’d be a new garage for our cars, solar panels on the roof and a Tesla battery or two on the outside wall.

Both of us would only work five days a week instead of six.

I could go on and on, but what would you do if you had deep pockets
