Word of the Day: Crunch time
Crunch time will eventually come around, no matter what your job is or what task you are working on.
Crunch time is when you can no longer procrastinate, and whatever you do must be done now.
Crunch time is the time of panic just before a deadline when you still have enough time to get down to brass tacks and finish your project, but if you delay any longer, you will not meet the deadline.
While discussing pre-crastination vs procrastination with my students, I learned that some students do their best work when it is crunch time.
The stress and pressure of crunch time and a looming deadline motivate them to finish the job.
