WotD: Comb-over

The comb-over hairstyle has been around for decades.

It is a hairstyle that involves combing the hair on one side of the head to cover up a balding spot on the top.

While some might think it looks like a bar code, many men opt for the comb-over to hide their hair loss.

It must be said, however, that they are fooling no one.

Hair loss is a common problem that affects many men.

Losing hair can be a distressing experience for some men, as it can make them feel less confident and less attractive.

That’s why many men turn to the comb-over hairstyle as a way to hide their hair loss.

It gives them the illusion of having a full head of hair, even if it’s only on one side.

Unfortunately, they are only fooling themselves.

Everyone else knows the truth.

This hairstyle has received mixed reactions from society and women in particular.

Some people see it as a desperate attempt to hide balding and think men should embrace baldness.

Others see it as a clever way to deal with hair loss and admire the confidence or desperation required to wear the hairstyle.

None of the women I have asked said they find the comb-over a charming and endearing feature.

Many men struggle with hair loss and consider the comb-over a valid option to feel more confident about their appearance.

At the end of the day, while it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, we must remember everyone has a preference.

The next time you see a man with a comb-over, remember the idiom to each their own
