Idiom: Big time
Many amateur performers struggle for many years before they hit it big time.
Performers, whether singers, musicians, stage actors, or movie actresses, must work long and hard before making it.
When they do, they become successful and famous.
Big time means to become successful at the top level of your profession.
It usually refers to entertainment but can also refer to people in any field who have become successful.
