English Phrase: The best of both worlds

It’s not every day that you can have the best of both worlds, but when it happens, man, it’s fantastic.

To have the best of both worlds, you must enjoy the advantages of two completely different situations without any of the drawbacks.

In other words, you have all the positives and none of the negatives associated with them.

Today’s picture is of a home office.

You can easily see that the person who owns this home office has the best of both worlds: they have a great view through the window near their desk, and their business is doing so well that they don’t have to work today.

Imagine how great it would be to work from home but not have to work because you have enough money.

You wouldn’t have to work your fingers to the bone at the boss’s command or work around the clock either unless you choose to.

That really would be the best of both worlds.
