Proverb: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or as I would say, no man marries an ugly woman.

We all have different tastes and interpretations of the idea of beauty.

That’s just what the proverb means.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder means that what you find beautiful is not necessarily liked by another.

I like cars and appreciate the aspects of automotive design, whether they are designed to be visually appealing, streamlined for performance or chunky for functionality.

It’s the reason why there are so many vehicle designs and automakers.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I find the design of some vehicles amazingly ugly, but I can appreciate that some people enjoy driving ugly cars.

Well, it’s not ugly to them.

They probably think it’s a beautiful and stylish vehicle.

It is what it is.

The ability to accept the wisdom behind the proverb beauty is in the eye of the beholder is fundamental to maintaining a healthy society.

We should refrain from forcing ourselves to adapt to what’s popular on Instagram today.

We should be true to ourselves and what appeals to us.

We must also be mature enough to understand and accept that what appeals to us does not necessarily appeal to others.

I could go on dropping idioms here, such as to each their own or live and let live, but they all amount to the same thing.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so when your child brings their new main squeeze home to meet you, don’t say they look like a dog’s breakfast.
